Bandage International was formed in September 2005 by a group of paramedics and emergency care nurses and doctors in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The mission of the group is to improve the skills of emergency medical care personnel in developing countries, including hospital caregivers (e.g. nurses and doctors), and pre-hospital responders (laypersons, paramedics, disaster response personnel and others).

Bandage International conducts training for groups of caregivers, tailoring the topics of discussion to the needs of the group. Our strategy is to improve care of patients by improving the skills of their caregivers.

More than just giving care that lasts for only a few days, Bandage International teaches the caregiver…teaching that will last a lifetime.
